army wives

ok so life is awesome...minus the fact that Cyle is gone. but my friend Jessica helps make life around here without him awesome. for most of the summer jess and i have been vacationing and having so much fun together. we are alike in so many ways; a:our husbands are deployed in the same unit together so we can do all the army stuff together. b:we are the same age. c:we have no kids. d:we haven't had jobs. but now we both have part time jobs :). d:we both quilt. e:we make for perfect friends! haha

so jess is super beautiful and skinny and works out all the time. along with that she eats super healthy. so for her birthday i wanted to get her a cake...well i figured she wouldn't want a cake since she doesn't eat a lot of sweets. so i still made her a cake but its a quilt cake!! yes that is right. i bought an apron pattern and the material for her to make an apron. sadly with being in military life she'll be moving in january so i wanted our friendship to continue ever after she left. so i bought the same stuff for me! now we have matching aprons! adorable. well last night (thursdays are quilt night now) we made our aprons after we had dinner together and watched an amazing AMANDA BYNES movie! love her! so here is the quilt cake (pictures not so great) and then the finished product...

cyle is on the left and chris is on the right! major capra is in the middle and we love his wife molly too! but she has kids and stuff so its not quite the same. she's still great though. that's our men! its the classic "women love men in uniforms", yes i love my man in a uniform! look how handsome he is! ok now stop looking so hard he's taken ;)
life is good! (especially with him as a husband)
